Li Jun-Cheng, aged 22, graduated from the Department of Interior Design and Civil Engineering at Vanung University in June 2024. He previously won a gold medal in the "Painting and Decorating" category at last year's Asia Skills Competition. This time, he triumphed over 20 competitors to secure the bronze. He stated, "The key to winning was the meticulous completeness of my work," emphasizing that his passion helped him overcome difficulties. He is thrilled that his perseverance has paid off and is grateful for the support from his school, the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Branch, and his family. He believes that winning is a momentary honor, the effort and growth during the competition are invaluable experiences.
Dr. Thomas Chuang, President of Vanung University, commented that Li's success is attributed to his relentless efforts, and the dedication of his mentor, who also played an essential role. His teacher noted that Li began exploring painting and decorating in high school, and his journey from contestant to national representative has been a remarkable achievement through his persistence.
Director of the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Branch expressed gratitude to the competitors for showcasing exceptional skills and resilience, bringing glory to the nation. He hopes they will become leaders in future industries.
